The Critical Systems Building Engineer at the Mobile, AL Final Assembly Line is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure, including production, electrical, life safety and mechanical systems. This role involves evaluating maintenance activities on work conducted by vendors and problem resolution to maintain 100% uptime of essential building assets. The position requires a hands-on approach to managing incidents and events that may jeopardize critical systems, while also adhering to safety and compliance standards
Job Responsibility:
Manage the operational day to day facility responsibilities for all of the MMS locations, including subcontractor coordination with focus on several key buildings
Ensuring adherence to regulations of all local and federal laws with respect to the operation of the locations, e.g., RSA, MS and PSR
Coordinate subcontractor activities to prevent impact to Mfg. Operations and minimize impact to end users
Recommend and manage initiatives to increase and improve service delivery considering both cost and quality - KPI Management
Conduct regular inspections of the building's systems to detect and diagnose potential problems
Provide critical facilities maintenance, repair, and service oversight
Develop Scope of work documents for critical equipment
Maintain Life cycle management for all facilities critical assets
Ensure customer satisfaction at all levels in the organization
demonstrate leadership responsiveness and creativity
Perform On-Site equipment commissioning and testing for critical support equipment
Work across the facilities team, locally, in the US and with European counterparts, to support a one team approach to delivering services
Develop and implement functional testing, maintenance, and calibration procedures for critical support systems
Work with engineering and consultant groups to ensure proper installation and functionality of critical systems and equipment
Promote safety culture across site including with customer, staff, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors / Supports EHS program requirements
Work closely with customers to develop and implement innovative programs and processes that reduce short/long term operating cost efficiencies and increased productivity
Engage in a proactive environment of teamwork, cooperation and transparency / lead a culture of continuous improvement
Act as a role model across the organization with behaviors consistent with Airbus values
Provide facility services in accordance with standard processes and procedures including application of policies, program requirements and coordination of information
Support and manage portfolio wide initiatives and required local, state and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the facilities operation of the site
Requirements:
A degree is not required, but the role does require a deep understanding of how infrastructure equipment and systems in the facility work and interact from perspectives of planning and growth, design and application, capacity vs load, normal vs abnormal operation, failure modes, maintenance, and repairs
5+ years experience in manufacturing space preferred
Must have training and experience covering leadership, project management and technical expertise
Possess excellent troubleshooting skills and deep knowledge of critical infrastructure
Working knowledge and application of OSHA, ISO, NFPA, ANSI and ADA standards required
General knowledge of FAA, EASA and ICAO preferred
Strong leadership and relationship building skills
Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
