Job Description

Iron Mountain is seeking a dedicated Critical Facilities Technician to join our team, providing technical and facility support in a 24/7 data center environment. In this full-time shift role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and oversight of critical electrical, HVAC, civil, and building management systems. You must be self-motivated, possess a strong sense of urgency, and be dedicated to supporting your team, our customers, and IMDC’s vision.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of IMDC’s critical power, cooling/environmental, security & support systems and facilities to meet or exceed uptime service levels
  • Perform daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment and conduct limited maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the data center
  • Monitor, resolve, and update all assigned service tickets using a ticketing system, including trouble tickets and customer installations of electrical and physical equipment
  • Ensure the safety of the environment and occupants by adhering to all safety procedures and proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Permit and monitor contract vendors, escorting and periodically checking their work to ensure all rules and operating procedures are followed

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand and follow documented, process-driven safety codes and procedures
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills to manage time and work efficiently and on time with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple ticket queues and work tasks that can change throughout the day
  • Customer service mentality and a dedication and desire to learn and grow your career within Iron Mountain
  • Experience in a critical operations environment and/or data center experience is preferred, but not required
