We are searching for Critical Facilities Engineers (CFEs) for an operator of a brand-new, cutting-edge data center facility in Lancaster, TX, just south of Dallas. The CFEs are responsible for the technical operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical data center infrastructure. This role demands advanced technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop and implement technical programs that enhance facility performance and reliability. The CFE will drive complex troubleshooting efforts, oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and contribute to the strategic direction of facility operations. We are hiring CFEs with the following specialties: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Controls, General, Generator, and Fire & Life Safety.
Job Responsibility:
Lead advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical, mechanical, and/or HVAC systems within the data center
Design, implement, and optimize technical programs to improve facility efficiency, reliability, and safety
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOPs)
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for system failures and implement corrective actions
Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of critical infrastructure systems
Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality control of outsourced maintenance and repair services
Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Stay up to date with industry advancements and integrate best practices into facility operations
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in critical facility operations, data centers, or related fields
Deep technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and control systems
Experience designing and managing technical programs to enhance facility performance
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Proven leadership, communication, and team-building abilities
Ability to develop and execute training programs for technical staff
Proficiency with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to loud noise levels
Exposure to controlled temperature conditions, cold and hot temperatures, or inclement weather conditions
Exposure to mild chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards
May work occasional nights and weekends
Communicates with co-workers, management, vendors, etc. approximately 3-5 hours a day
May move and transport items over 45 pounds, operates tools, work at varying heights and ascends/descend ladders and stairs, positions self in small spaces, and moves between buildings
