As a CO+I CE Technician Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Job Responsibility

  • People Management: Model, Coach, Care
  • Serve as an operations specialist in major areas of operations (e.g., electrical, mechanical, controls, generators)
  • Oversee and coach team with inspection of critical environment-related facility equipment
  • Monitor performance of maintenance and operations utilizing telemetry, control systems
  • Utilize internal CMMS to track equipment assets and complete work order requests
  • Safely respond to and lead an onsite incident response team for abnormal conditions
  • Enhance, develop, or follow emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures
  • Gather information and create incident timelines, root-cause analyses, and action items following abnormal conditions
  • Guide, oversee, and perform various types of maintenance and repairs
  • Serve as subject matter expert for one type of equipment
  • Provide escort to third-party contractors and coordinate supplier/vendor on-site activities
  • Advise junior colleagues on inspection and supervision issues
  • Provide consultation to lower-level colleagues in troubleshooting
  • Understand, follow, ensure, and coach team on safety and security requirements
  • Proactively ensure safety and security requirements are followed
  • Maintain safe working conditions and escalate unsafe conditions
  • Assess and identify resources and equipment to support EH&S objectives
  • Participate in required meetings, trainings, and necessary handoffs

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND 3+ years mission critical services work/applied learning experience (e.g., high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields) OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to work shifts, including shift assignments during non-standard business hours that may include evening, nighttime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
