Job Responsibility

Perform cardiothoracic surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, segmentectomies, lobectomies, VATS, and other cardiac and thoracic procedures
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, critical care specialists, pulmonologists, and nursing staff
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all hospital policies and regulations

Current RN license in the State of Kentucky
Basic Life Support (BLS) via the American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) via the American Heart Association (AHA) within 3 months of hire

Job Responsibility

Provides nursing care according to the nursing process
Implements appropriate nursing care interventions
Administers medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established nursing policies and procedures
Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care
Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical decision making
