Are you a Criminology graduate with a keen interest in child development, behaviour, and safeguarding? Are you looking to gain hands-on experience supporting vulnerable young children in a school setting? We are working with a number of Primary schools across North London seeking caring, confident, and proactive graduates to support pupils aged 4–11 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and behavioural challenges.
Job Responsibility:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND and behavioural needs
Assist with classroom management, emotional regulation, and individual learning plans
Implement targeted intervention strategies in collaboration with the SENCO and class teacher
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement, independence, and self-esteem
Work closely with external agencies, including CAMHS, therapists, and safeguarding teams, where appropriate
Requirements:
Hold a Criminology (or related) degree
Have experience working with children – ideally in education, mentoring, youth work, or mental health
Are enthusiastic, resilient, and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Are available to work immediately or from the upcoming academic term
