Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Criminal Plaintiff Attorney to join a reputable legal practice based in Sarasota, Florida. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, but candidates must be local to the area to attend court proceedings and other related activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to advocating for clients and delivering exceptional legal representation. MUST have criminal litigation experience to be considered!

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of discovery materials to prepare for litigation
  • Represent clients in court appearances, including first appearances and motion hearings
  • Manage client relationships to ensure clear communication and understanding of case progress
  • Identify and analyze legal issues within criminal cases to build effective strategies
  • Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Travel to nearby counties as required for case-related activities
  • Participate in both in-person and virtual court sessions as necessary
  • Draft and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents essential to case preparation
  • Advocate for clients effectively in courtroom settings, demonstrating strong litigation skills

Requirements:

  • Possess at least 3 years of litigation experience specifically in criminal law
  • Licensed attorney with the ability to practice law in the state of Florida
  • Demonstrated expertise in civil litigation and criminal defense
  • Proficient in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Exceptional courtroom advocacy skills and ability to argue motions effectively
  • Proven ability to manage cases independently from inception to resolution
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address complex legal issues
  • Passion for providing top-tier representation and fighting for clients' rights
