Job Description:

Volunteer role to support people affected by alcohol and/or substance use who are involved in the criminal justice system, following arrest/pre-court hearings. The service offers harm minimisation advice and support to reduce the likelihood of reoffending.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the individual to engage with the community service they have been referred to
  • Offering check-ins (either telephone or face-to-face) in-between referral and their initial appointment with the community service
  • Accompanying them to the first appointment

  • Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process
  • Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information
