This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with a well-established Manchester law firm, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of criminal cases. The role involves handling an evolving caseload of criminal defence matters, representing clients through various stages of the legal process, and working closely with senior solicitors to develop expertise.

Job Responsibility:

Handling an evolving caseload of criminal defence matters, including both private and legal aid-funded cases
Representing clients from police station interviews through to trial
Advocating in Magistrates’ and Crown Court (with support as you develop)
Building strong client relationships and providing clear, practical legal advice
Working closely with senior solicitors to develop your skills and expertise

Requirements:

Newly Qualified Solicitor (or solicitor seeking to retrain in criminal law)
Passion for criminal defence and advocacy
Strong communication and client-care skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
Willingness to train as a Duty Solicitor (if not already accredited)
