Job Description:

A highly regarded professional services firm is seeking an experienced Criminal Defence Lawyer at Mid Associate or Manager level to join their established legal team in London. This is a permanent opportunity offering exposure to complex and high-profile criminal matters across a wide client base. The successful Criminal Defence Lawyer will be working within a supportive and forward-thinking environment, where professional growth is encouraged, and quality of work is paramount.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage own caseload of criminal defence matters from start to finish
  • Lead on case strategy
  • Liaise with clients and enforcement agencies
  • Prepare cases for hearings and trial
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the team
  • Supervise junior lawyers where required
  • Contribute to maintaining the firm’s reputation for excellence in criminal defence
  • Support business development initiatives within the department

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in criminal law
  • Valid Duty Solicitor accreditation highly desirable
  • Higher Rights of Audience (Criminal) advantageous
  • Strong advocacy skills
  • Confident case handling
  • Ability to work independently under pressure
