Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with the sales team to manage daily work orders and project specifications
Effectively set up and organize a crew of two to five team members for the day’s tasks
Delegate specific tasks to crew members based on their skills and job requirements
Ensure all necessary equipment is inspected, ready for use, and properly fueled
Conduct thorough job site briefings, emphasizing safety protocols, work procedures, and individual responsibilities for all crew members
Review the scope of work clearly with homeowners and the crew prior to commencing work
Direct and supervise all tree removal, pruning, and other tree care activities, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency
Operate various tree care equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and other specialized tools, as required
Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site challenges, adapting plans as necessary
Ensure meticulous job site cleanup, leaving the property in excellent condition
Meet with the homeowner before leaving the site to ensure their complete satisfaction
Delegate tasks for the efficient dumping of trucks and disposal of debris
Complete necessary paperwork or digital logs, including job completion forms and safety checklists
Requirements:
Must be an experienced arborist with a strong understanding of tree biology, tree risk assessment, and proper arboricultural practices
Proven experience in a tree service crew lead or supervisory role is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of safety protocols in tree care operations
Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required
Must have a clean driving record
Exceptional leadership and delegation skills to effectively manage a crew
Excellent verbal communication skills for clear interaction with team members, sales staff, and homeowners
Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in the field
A deep commitment to safety and delivering high-quality workmanship
Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Nice to have:
ISA Arborist certification is a strong asset
