Reporting to the Operations Control Manager, as Crew Controller you’ll be responsible for supervising and maintaining the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of our crew rosters to support the Operations Controllers in delivering our punctuality promise. You’ll be responsible for coordinating mandatory & Company training requirements for all crew, managing the daily administration of rosters, organising crew travel and accommodation and on-going legality checks to ensure compliance with the Company flight time limitations scheme. The Operations Control Centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and this role is 28 day rolling 12-hour day-shift pattern including days and nights. This role supports BA Cityflyer and BA Euroflyer flying programme from our hubs at London City and London Gatwick, to some of the most desirable European destinations.
Job Responsibility:
Monitoring and managing the Company’s day to day crew operation for the current published flying programme whilst on shift. To ensure that all rostered duties comply to both mandatory constraints and industrial agreements
Provide the efficient co-ordination of all mandatory and company training requirements for Flight Deck and Cabin Crew
Manage the daily administration of rosters including an initial handover, ensure all crew positioning flights, hotac, taxi and car hire are booked. To ensure crews are delayed and have the correct information to minimise delays remain within the legal, company restrictions
Maximise the potential for on time departures
Ensure the safe, legal, efficient, and effective operation of company aircraft
To compile weekly and monthly legality reports to ensure the company operate within the legal guideline of both companies and in line with the EASA FTL Scheme
Requirements:

Knowledge of crew control and EASA FT
Computer literate and demonstrated use of Crew Scheduling software
Awareness of crew fatigue and Circadian Rhythm factors
Knowledge of flight & cabin crew training requirements
Knowledge of AIMS Crew Management System
Knowledge of Fatigue Risk Management System
Proven experience in an airline Operations/Crewing
Experience in handling the complexities of the operational environment, including crew union agreements, EU-Ops & FTL schemes
Experience of making suggestions and implementing ways of improving efficiency and reducing costs
Previous experience in Crew Training recovery/Crew Expiries
