We are looking for a skilled and experienced Creditors’ Rights Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will advocate for creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, ensuring their claims are protected and resolved effectively. Your expertise in bankruptcy law will be indispensable in navigating complex cases, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 filings, while providing strategic legal counsel to clients.
Job Responsibility:
Represent creditors in bankruptcy litigation, including adversary proceedings and proof of claims
Draft and review motions, objections, and other court pleadings with precision and attention to detail
Develop effective strategies to safeguard creditors’ claims and maximize asset recovery
Monitor bankruptcy filings and deadlines to ensure compliance with court requirements
Provide expert legal guidance to clients on bankruptcy processes and regulations
Negotiate settlements and resolutions in bankruptcy cases efficiently and professionally
Build strong client relationships by delivering timely updates and sound legal advice
Collaborate with colleagues on complex litigation matters and manage cases from initiation to resolution or trial
Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Bar membership in Maryland
At least 3-5 years of experience in creditors’ rights, bankruptcy law, or collections law
Strong knowledge of Maryland bankruptcy rules and regulations
Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills with high attention to detail
Proven courtroom and negotiation experience in bankruptcy-related cases
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Strong ethical standards and sound judgment with a client-focused approach
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and court representatives
