Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Credit Team Leader with a strong background in the Australian mortgage industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mortgage processing and a minimum of three years of experience in leading and managing a team. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive team performance while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage the credit team, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity
  • Oversee the assessment and approval process of mortgage applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them navigate complex mortgage scenarios and resolve any issues
  • Monitor team metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance performance
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging professional development and continuous learning
  • Liaise with other departments, such as underwriting and customer service, to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the Australian mortgage industry, ensuring that the team remains compliant with all relevant regulations and policies

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in the Australian mortgage industry, with a comprehensive understanding of mortgage processing and credit assessment
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Team Leader, with a proven ability to manage and develop a team
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian regulations and industry standards
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in mortgage processing
