Job Description

Citi is seeking a Credit Risk Sr. Analyst to join its team in Buenos Aires, supporting global credit risk activities across institutional and commercial banking clients. This role is part of Citi’s global credit platform and provides an excellent opportunity to work on international portfolios, develop strong financial and credit analysis skills, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple regions. As a Credit Risk Sr. Analyst, you will support the evaluation and monitoring of credit risk across a portfolio of corporate clients. You will analyze financial statements, prepare credit reviews, and contribute to risk assessments, working closely with global underwriting and risk teams. This is an ideal role for professionals with 2–5 years of experience who are looking to deepen their expertise in credit analysis and global banking operations, with a clear career path toward more senior analyst and risk roles.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform financial analysis, including spreading and evaluating financial statements
  • Prepare credit reviews (annual and quarterly) and support transaction analysis
  • Assist in determining and recommending risk ratings for counterparties
  • Identify early warning signals and support escalation of emerging credit risks
  • Monitor assigned portfolio performance, including financial trends and covenant compliance
  • Track borrower activity and industry developments impacting credit exposure
  • Support portfolio reviews and reporting for global stakeholders

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, banking, or risk roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Experience with credit systems or financial spreading tools
  • Exposure to corporate or institutional banking environments
  • Experience working with global or regional teams
