The Portfolio Credit Risk Manager will contribute to the execution of quarterly credit loss requirements under the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) methodology. This includes portfolio level analysis and communication of results in senior governance meetings to conclude on credit loss reserve adequacy. The Portfolio Credit Risk Manager will work closely with various key stakeholders, including Risk, Finance, Businesses, regulators, and auditors.
Job Responsibility:
Perform in-depth analysis of financial and modeling data, including trends, variance, and macro-economic variable impact
Prepare materials for various senior management meetings, as well as meetings with regulators and internal/external auditors
Partner with various stakeholders to ensure accurate, detailed, and timely reporting of credit loss reserve results
Provide analytical support for Business/Finance reviews and ad-hoc requests
Assist with implementation of key strategic projects and improvements to existing processes
Maintain detailed documentation on analyses, policies, procedures, and controls
Assess impact to credit risk when business decisions are made, by applying sound ethical judgment that considers Citi’s reputation, clients, assets, and compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies
Escalate any reporting or control issues timely and hold others accountable to also maintain these standards.
Requirements:
5+ years of work experience in Risk Management or Finance within a major financial institution
Proven track record of analysing complex financial data and communicating conclusions to senior management in a high-profile environment
Good working knowledge of wholesale banking products, credit risk management, and CECL requirements
Familiarity with Risk, Collateral, and Finance reporting data infrastructures and platforms across multiple products, functions, and/or businesses preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assimilate large amounts of information to arrive at well-reasoned conclusions
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation)

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a concise manner
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to leverage relationships and work collaboratively across the organization
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting a high degree of flexibility
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks, escalate concerns, and raise questions
Bachelor’s/University degree with a major in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or Computer Science.
