Job Description:

The Credit Risk Analyst role involves underwriting, closing, and securitizing loans in coordination with the investment banking team. This role includes analyzing real estate projects, managing client relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance while providing detailed financial and credit risk assessments.

Job Responsibility:

Create written and oral work products to test the financial feasibility and credit worthiness of loans
Review due diligence and prepare internal committee packages
Manage communications among diverse internal and external participants
Analyze local and national real estate markets
Conduct site inspections and meet with clients
Process transactions through internal systems to ensure regulatory compliance
Conduct analysis on firm special projects as needed
Appropriately assess risk and demonstrate compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements:

2-4 years relevant experience
Loan underwriting or equivalent experience
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under tight deadlines and manage priorities
High proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft-based programs
Excellent analytical and computer skills
Working knowledge of lending Underwriting Guides
Familiarity with processes of Rating Agencies
Ability to analyze real estate projects for financial feasibility
Knowledge of commercial real estate concepts such as NOI, Cap Rates, debt service coverage
Ability to maintain attention to details and work independently or among team members
Ability to read, comprehend, and summarize legal documents
Working knowledge of the nuances of loan transactions
Ability to travel 20% of the time on short notice.
