Job Description:

Credit Portfolio Officer – Senior Vice President role in Institutional Credit Management (ICM) working closely with front line businesses as a critical component of First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management. Responsible for portfolio analysis, review, documentation, risk identification, management, monitoring, and stress testing. Portfolio Health Monitoring is a major deliverable developing appropriate tools to detect emerging risks and portfolio vulnerabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring portfolio management is consistent with industry leading practices and conforms to internal credit procedures/policies and regulatory expectations
  • Continuous engagement across ICM and with businesses and Independent Risk senior stakeholders
  • Understanding concerns regarding execution of portfolio alerts and/or emerging risks
  • Coordinating with early warning credit management team
  • Execute plans, strategy, and objectives for Portfolio Health Monitoring
  • Continuously challenge infrastructure with Technology partners for best-in-class management reporting
  • Partner with stakeholders in design and calibration of metrics and indicators for Portfolio Health
  • Support on internal projects and initiatives
  • Support ICM Voice of the Employee (VOE) initiatives
  • Travel (less than 25%)

Requirements:

  • Financial Services experience including 7+ years of credit experience in Banking, Trading, Structuring or Credit Risk Management
  • Superior risk assessment skills
  • Experience in portfolio monitoring and management
  • Public Sector expertise is preferred
  • Fully conversant in credit policy and risk principles
  • Ability to recognize and address major types of risk, including market, operational and crossborder
  • Expertise in managing large data sets accurately
  • Solid knowledge in risk and regulatory capital issues
  • Proactively engages team, partners and seniors to collaborate holistic client-centric approach
  • Highly Effective interpersonal skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting or higher degree in Business (MBA), or any other related subject
  • MBA, CPA, CFA preferred
  • Formal credit training is a plus
