Job Description:

The Credit Portfolio Analyst is responsible for portfolio monitoring activities to identify credit migration, managing Citi's portfolio exposure globally, and assisting in risk measurement and management. Responsibilities include client business collaboration, risk tool development and utilization, data synchronization, customized risk analysis, reporting, control environment analysis, and compliance assurance. Key qualifications include experience in financial analysis, clear communication skills, and proficiency in automated tools and programming languages.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work directly with client businesses to change process flow while maintaining required functionality and adherence to policy and procedure requirements
  • develop and utilize risk management tools for measurement, monitoring and management of clients' exposure
  • assist with synchronization and cleanup of static data across multiple applications
  • perform standard daily and weekly analyses as well as customized risk analyses
  • communicate key findings to senior management
  • create presentations and documents for internal and external use on topics such as Risk Group functions, margin methodologies and risk issues
  • analyze the control environment, including periodic reviews of the control environment
  • vet new systems, processes, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with market practices
  • represent the department to internal and external credit officers, auditors, and regulatory agencies
  • appropriately assess risk when making business decisions
  • drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
  • manage and report control issues with transparency.

Requirements:

  • Previous relevant experience preferred
  • experience in financial analysis, accounting and valuation
  • consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • proven analytical, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills
  • demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision as well as in a team environment
  • intermediate English (desirable)
  • ability to generate and execute test cases for validation of risk policy implementation
  • analysis of requirements from various users
  • mastery of rules involved in adjustments requested by users
  • ability to propose robust designs for testing
  • execution and monitoring of test cases
  • automation process skills
  • proficiency in automated tools such as Excel/Visual Basic
  • desirable knowledge of Python, SAS, SQL.
