Job Description

The Credit Portfolio Analyst II is an intermediate-level position responsible for the end-to-end implementation of Credit Line Decrease, Credit Line Increase, Rules implementation and Authorization strategies in different credit risk platforms. This role ensures that all credit risk technology solutions, once deployed, perform effectively, and align with both regulatory requirements and business objectives. This person will be responsible for validating platform performance, identifying areas for optimization, and ensuring stability, reliability, and scalability of systems in production. This role requires basic understanding of credit risk systems, customer impact, and technology operations, including pre/post-implementation assessments, operational risk management, and ongoing system monitoring to prevent disruptions and ensure compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Rules Build: Analysis, design, and implementation of all credit risk rules to support models, strategies as well as adjudication actions
  • Core part of the role includes end to end implementation of new/existing Credit Line Decrease strategies along with monitoring jobs required for execution of strategies on daily basis
  • Additional responsibility as part of the role includes, creating new rules or maintaining existing credit rules for Authorizations in SAS Fraud Management System (FMS) / SAS Raptor tool and perform unit testing to validate the rules logic
  • Test individual components of the business rules and models to ensure they function as intended
  • Complete unit testing of all rule build activities
  • support testing on all defects
  • Subject matter expertise in the data for the business object model (BOM) data that is used for reporting, analytics, and decisions coming from Rules Build
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices to continuously improve the credit risk strategies
  • Pre & Post-Implementation Validation: Perform the rules validation of all customer-facing credit risk platforms post-deployment
  • Development and execution of Authorization credit rules validation frameworks
  • Partner with risk management, IT, and operations teams to assess potential vulnerabilities, gaps, or deficiencies in system performance and address them promptly
  • Issue Resolution: Implement credit auth monitoring processes that assess credit risk platforms’ operational performance, data integrity, and customer impact across various product lines
  • Ensure timely resolution of production issues
  • Customer Impact & Experience: Ensure all customer-facing credit risk platforms perform reliably in production
  • Support initiatives to continuously improve platform stability
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand customer needs and expectations
  • Regulatory & Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all pre & post-implementation validation activities meet regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Develop and maintain documentation and audit trails
  • Collaborate with internal and External audit, compliance and regulatory bodies
  • Risk Management & Control: Enhance the governance and control frameworks for credit risk platforms
  • Implement ongoing risk assessments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all risk controls are integrated into the credit decisioning process

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in credit risk analysis/consumer banking
  • Hands on experience on Base SAS, Advance SAS, SAS FMS/SAS Raptor, Autosys, Unix shell scripting, Bitbucket tools
  • Knowledge of credit and banking products, credit analytics, risk assessment, and transaction execution
  • Basic understanding of credit risk management, technology platforms, and operational risk controls, particularly in the context of post-implementation processes
  • Familiarity with modern monitoring tools, risk management frameworks, and production systems used to assess technology performance in real-time
  • Strong analytical skills in conducting analysis using authorizations transactions data to identify anomalies and adverse trends
  • Statistical knowledge – familiar with key statistic metrics/ concepts
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with little direction and in a team
  • Demonstrated accountability, self-motivation and business acumen
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
