Job Responsibility:
Build Engineering: Development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions to fulfil business requirements ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use
Incident Management: Monitoring of IT infrastructure and system performance to measure, identify, address, and resolve any potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages
Automation: Development and implementation of automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention, utilising software scripting/coding disciplines
Security: Implementation of a secure configuration and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats
Teamwork: Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT Infrastructure requirements, devise solutions, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives via a data driven approach
Learning: Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations
Requirements:
Strong Kubernetes & containerization experience
Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating containerized platforms in production environments
Kubernetes fundamentals, container lifecycle management, debugging, and platform reliability
CI/CD platform expertise (GitLab and/or GitHub)
Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that support Java-based services and automated delivery at scale
Pipeline design, build/test stages, security and quality gates, reusable templates
Solid understanding of Java-based systems
Ability to work effectively with Java applications from a platform perspective, including builds, runtime behavior, observability, and performance considerations
Nice to have:
OpenTelemetry and modern observability practices
Experience instrumenting applications and platforms using OpenTelemetry for logs, metrics, and traces, and integrating with centralized observability solutions
Gradle & Java/Kotlin experience
Familiarity with Gradle-based builds and Kotlin (e.g., build logic, tooling, or JVM-based services) to effectively support engineering teams
Platform enablement & developer experience focus
Experience improving developer productivity through self‑service tooling, standardized pipelines, and clear documentation
