Job Description:

This role supports the growth of the UK Commercial Bank by underwriting transactions and leading credit due diligence for UK Mid-Market businesses. The candidate will handle end-to-end credit processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory policies and contributing to process improvements.

Job Responsibility:

Underwrite requests for new and existing clients
lead credit due diligence and peer analysis
prepare detailed credit summaries
assess repayment capacity through financial projections and credit ratings
present credit analyses to approval committees
negotiate and execute facility documentation
monitor portfolio for early warning signs
maintain compliance with credit policies and regulations
identify process improvements
mentor junior credit officers
back up the Credit Underwriting Group Manager.

Requirements:

Experience in underwriting credit requests for business clients
proficiency in detailed financial analysis and financial projections
strong understanding of credit policies and regulatory policies
knowledge of Citi’s products and services
ability to lead credit due diligence
strong written and verbal communication skills
compliance with Citibank credit standards.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of global economy and designated industries
experience mentoring junior professionals
ability to identify process improvements
familiarity with facility documentation and negotiation.
