The Credit Manager maintains proper credit procedures in accordance with corporate and local policies, ensuring the accurate billing, timely collection, and effective management of all accounts receivable. This role oversees credit operations, strengthens internal controls, and partners closely with operational departments to minimize outstanding balances while delivering outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all credit and accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely billing, accurate follow-up, and effective collection procedures
Maintain and enforce local credit policies related to billing, credit card processing, check handling, inquiries, and collections
Supervise, train, and develop Accounts Receivable/Credit employees
conduct performance management, coaching, and staffing activities as needed
Respond promptly and professionally to guest, client, and credit card company inquiries
Review guest ledger high-balance reports daily and work with Front Office and Finance leadership to resolve discrepancies
Maintain credit histories, approved credit requests, and account documentation to support internal controls and compliance
Lead monthly credit meetings and collaborate with Sales, Catering, Conference Services, and Front Office teams on credit-related matters
Investigate billing requests and act as the final authority for credit approval decisions
Recommend process improvements to enhance Accounts Receivable efficiency and financial performance
Requirements:
At least 1–3 years of credit, accounts receivable, or related finance experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of accounting principles and internal control procedures
Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job
knowledge of Opera and Microsoft Office Suite preferred/is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to collaborate with multiple departments and communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, and guests
US work authorization is required
