As a Credit Intermediate Analyst, Officer at Citi, you will support end-to-end credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring across commercial and institutional banking relationships — working alongside Credit Officers, Relationship Managers, and Risk partners to deliver high-quality credit analysis that directly shapes lending decisions across Corporate Banking, Services, and Markets.
Job Responsibility
Prepare credit analysis and underwriting materials for new and existing clients, contributing to first-line credit assessments across commercial and institutional portfolios
Conduct financial statement and cash flow reviews to support underwriting recommendations and credit approval documentation
Monitor assigned portfolio performance, including covenant tracking and periodic financial reviews, to identify and escalate emerging risk indicators
Assist in preparing quarterly and annual credit reviews, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all documentation and reporting
Support the processing of credit renewals, amendments, and related transactions by coordinating documentation across internal teams
Collaborate with global stakeholders across Credit, Banking, and Risk to support the execution of credit processes and cross-functional workflows
Build knowledge of commercial banking products, credit structures, and industry dynamics through active participation in training and on-the-job development
Requirements
2-5 years of experience in banking, finance, accounting, or a related financial services field
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a closely related discipline
Working knowledge of financial statements and core accounting concepts, with the ability to apply this to credit analysis tasks
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to convey complex or sensitive information across global teams
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently, apply sound judgment, and maintain strong attention to detail in analysis and reporting
Nice to have
Prior internship or work experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, or a related lending environment
Exposure to international banking, shared service centres, or cross-border financial services environments
Familiarity with credit monitoring processes, covenant tracking, or portfolio review cycles
