For our client from the chemical and plastics industry, we are looking for a Credit Department Assistant. We are seeking finance/economics students or individuals in the process of career retraining (re-skilling) who want to take their first steps in the world of corporate finance. You will join a dynamic, international team responsible for credit risk management. This is a great opportunity to learn from experts and work in a multicultural environment!

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the credit team in daily analysis of customers' financial data
  • Participating in the credit risk assessment process to determine credit limits for clients
  • Analyzing financial statements and drawing conclusions for business decisions
  • Cooperating with international team members to monitor the accounts receivable portfolio
  • Ensuring cash flow optimization while supporting the company's sales objectives

Requirements

  • Interest in finance, credit management, or the accounts receivable area
  • Degree (or currently studying) in finance, economics, or related fields
  • English proficiency at B2/C1 level
  • Experience working with Excel
  • Basic knowledge of financial statement analysis (balance sheet, profit and loss statement)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions from numerical data
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team-player attitude

Nice to have

Knowledge of SAP is preferred (nice to have)

  • Partner with customers and internal teams to investigate and resolve receivable discrepancies, including short payments, deductions, and account reconciliation concerns
  • Provide backup support for complete job account setup activities in accordance with company procedures
  • Prepare lien waivers, respond to credit reference requests, and maintain supporting documentation for account-related needs
  • Assist with accounts receivable backup duties such as cash application, deposit processing, credit application review, new account entry, and ongoing account updates
  • Support the Credit Manager with hiring coordination, employee onboarding and training, and day-to-day departmental coverage when needed
  • Contribute to special assignments and adapt to multiple business systems to help maintain continuity across the credit function
