Job Description

CA-CIB’s Americas Credit Coordination department is seeking a Credit Coordination Associate. The position will provide strong support to the Coverage teams by contributing in and coordinating the credit process and ensuring high quality work product is provided to decision makers in advance of relevant committees. Further, the position will aid in client portfolio management.

Job Responsibility

  • Assemble requests from various Coverage teams by summarizing the transaction in memo form prior to business and credit committees
  • Coordinate committee scheduling with Coverage, various product groups, risk department, and head office
  • Acting as central point of contact for questions and information requests related to a transaction
  • Using internal systems to input authorization details and ensure accurate booking
  • Manage the review process for all clients
  • Ensure timely delivery of relevant information to all internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with the international network and product teams as needed
  • Analyze the key credit risks affecting the client
  • Manage and recommend changes as needed with regards to overall client exposure
  • Use internal systems to input all authorization details to ensure ongoing booking accuracy
  • Portfolio monitoring: Process amendments
  • Limit anomalies related to past due annual reviews and past due internal ratings
  • Regularly review internal ratings with the goal of identifying any changes in advance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of banking experience
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Experience with a financial institution’s internal credit-related systems and processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

  • Act as a primary owner of assigned deals
  • Work with Loan Agency support staff to manage and communicate deal information to the borrower and lending group
  • Review and negotiate administrative issues within credit agreements
  • Oversee the maintenance of the agency system to reflect attributes of each credit agreement and related governing documents
  • Oversee the calculation, invoicing, and disbursement of all deal-related fees
  • Assume responsibility for the coordination of funds movement related to initial funding and closing, managing closings for lenders, transferring positions by assignment, and working closely with the borrower and lending group
  • Oversee ongoing maintenance of facility commitments and processing of loan/facility-related activity, including rollovers, rate settings, conversions, prepayments, assignments, amendments, waivers, et cetera
  • Oversee accurate and timely collection and disbursement of interest/principal/fee payments to lenders
  • Ensure collection of new borrowings from lenders and disbursement to borrower
  • Act as senior liaison between borrowers and lenders, ensuring compliance with the terms of the credit agreement and other governing documents
