Job Description:

Our client is a MNC and provides business in the Asia Pacific region. They are currently looking for a junior Credit Control Officer. The successful candidate will be crucial in safeguarding the company's financial stability through proactive risk mitigation and effective customer interactions regarding outstanding payments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the process for new customer account setup and execute thorough credit checks
  • Proactively monitor accounts and pursue the collection of outstanding balances, which includes direct client visits alongside the Sales team
  • Address and resolve billing discrepancies (invoice disputes) and ensure the punctual issuance of correct customer statements
  • Negotiate appropriate payment arrangements and strictly enforce established credit rules and guidelines
  • Undertake complex account reconciliations and contribute to the successful completion of monthly financial close activities
  • Generate reports detailing overdue accounts to assist in company-wide risk mitigation efforts
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all credit terms stipulated in commercial agreements are in full compliance with internal corporate policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in credit control or debt collection
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese
