We're excited to offer you a new opportunity to join our Lettings Accounts team as a Credit Control Assistant based in our Southampton office. This role is a full time, Fixed Term Contract position for 12 months.

Job Responsibility

  • Carrying out credit control for the Lettings Accounts team predominantly via phone or email
  • Deal with queries regarding accounts and statements
  • Allocate payments to correct accounts
  • Chase and follow up on rent arrears
  • Prepare and process landlord disbursements
  • Pay contractors for maintenance and repair works
  • Ensure compliance with deposit protection schemes (e.g., TDS, DPS)
  • Deal with queries regarding accounts and statements

Requirements

  • Background in Credit Control
  • Previous industry experience ideal, although not essential
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in property management software beneficial (Fixflow, Reapit)
  • Good Excel and general IT skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
