We are looking for an experienced Credit/Collections Supervisor to join our team in College Point, New York. This role requires a strong background in medical collections and revenue cycle management, particularly within the healthcare and dialysis sectors. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of billing workflows and payer regulations, along with the ability to lead strategic initiatives to optimize collections and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and manage medical collections processes, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution for healthcare and dialysis accounts
Develop and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances and improve accounts receivable metrics
Analyze trends in accounts receivable performance and recommend actionable solutions to enhance collections efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including billing, finance, patient access, and front desk, to address collection challenges and streamline processes
Ensure compliance with payer rules, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to healthcare reimbursement
Maintain in-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations and their impact on collections
Utilize healthcare technology systems, such as Epic, to manage and monitor billing and collection workflows
Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices for collections and revenue cycle management
Monitor and report on Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics to senior management
Ensure all collection activities align with organizational goals and legal standards
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in medical collections, with a focus on healthcare and dialysis
Comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle management and payer regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid
Expertise in dialysis billing and collections workflows
Proficiency with healthcare technology systems, such as Epic
Strong analytical skills to assess accounts receivable trends and develop effective strategies
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes and regulatory requirements
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-departmental teams
Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and train team members
