Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Credit and Collections Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will oversee credit evaluations, collections processes, and billing operations while fostering strong customer relationships. This role is ideal for someone with a background in credit management, excellent analytical skills, and experience in the construction or building materials industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers to minimize financial risk
  • Manage collections processes, including maintaining detailed payment histories and resolving past-due accounts
  • Supervise the billing cycle to ensure accuracy and efficiency, addressing any discrepancies promptly
  • Analyze and maintain billing data to ensure integrity and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Lead and mentor a team of billing specialists, setting priorities and monitoring performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, sales, and operations to align credit and billing processes
  • Prepare detailed reports on billing and collections performance, presenting metrics to stakeholders
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and leverage technology effectively
  • Respond to inquiries regarding billing, payment status, and credit evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with construction lien laws and bond claim practices

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections management within the construction or building materials industry
  • Expertise in credit evaluation and collections practices, including familiarity with construction lien laws
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Microsoft D365 or Salesforce, along with Microsoft Office tools
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating teams
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to mitigate financial risk
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Perform collection activities on due invoices and execute dunning procedures
  • Conduct credit checks for new and existing customers
  • Monitor debtor balances to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and overdue %
  • Ensure compliance with the Global Credit Policy and Level of Authority guidelines
  • Oversee business processes to maintain fiscal compliance standards
  • Guarantee accurate and timely collection of current and overdue receivables
  • Monitor and review credit limits in line with the Global Credit Policy, ensuring communication with relevant regions
  • Review local portfolio performance, including Accounts Receivable (A/R) reports, and provide proactive recommendations to minimize losses
