Job Description:
Citi continues to enhance its business control and governance framework by building out Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a first line of defense business line, to house and consistently manage credit risk activities performed for Citi’s institutional clients. ICM’s objective is to provide integrated end-to-end credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit across the enterprise. Within ICM, the Credit Underwriting function (“ICM UW” or “UW”) provides credit analysis, underwriting, and first line of defense credit approval for periodic / material transaction reviews, and any necessary subsequent credit monitoring across all institutional business including Corporate Banking, Services, and Markets relationships. A Credit Analyst is expected to have a basic understanding of credit risk, leveraging off an academic background Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. This role reports to the Underwriter/Staffer (SVP) within the ICM UW organization, but takes each interaction as an opportunity to further learn about credit risk, industry fundamentals, effective writing, and communication. That includes the production of annual reviews, quarterly reviews, and the support of ad-hoc transactions and portfolio & industry reviews and stress testing, in partnership with Citi Israel Underwriter, Banking and Risk. This role has responsibility for Citi's institutional clients in Israel which ranges from corporates, financial institutions, and public sector obligors.
