Job Description

The role is part of the CRR Analytics Team, which is responsible for providing support to the Lead Reviewers in their management of Business Monitoring (BM) and Reviews through various activities that include validation of inputs used to determine risk ratings and systems support, portfolio performance analysis and reporting. The CRR Team Lead reports to the Head of CRR Analytics and manages a team of analysts and provides review support for regional or global CRR teams including support for Lead Reviewers in their management of BM and Reviews through various activities that include validation of inputs used to determine risk ratings and system support. The CRR Review Analyst Team Lead will be expected to quickly transition into participation in Business Monitoring and Review activities, in addition to supporting CRR groups on various projects and presentations.

Job Responsibility

  • Be accountable for ensuring best in class core credit risk analysis of applicable portfolio ensuring consistency with industry leading practices and conforms to all internal credit procedures/policies, and all related regulatory expectations
  • Validate financial inputs used to determine credit risk rating of clients across different industries and regions
  • Identify and analyze situations that create risk for Citi, utilizing various resources such as credit reports, score cards, risk systems, and knowledge of the elements of Risk
  • Communicate findings of analysis to Lead Reviewers
  • Hire, develop, mentor and manage junior analysts and their respective workflows
  • Analyze and interpret data to make conclusions or recommendations
  • Gather deliverables and prepare presentations to meet internal and Regulatory needs
  • Support the CRR Chief Administrative Officer’s team in special projects and other non-review CRR functions in special projects
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements

  • Financial Services experience including 5+ years of credit experience in Banking or Credit Risk Management
  • Formal credit training or strong understanding of financial accounting standards
  • Experience in assessing the credit and financial strength of Citi’s Large Corporate, Public Sector, and Financial Institutions Clients by performing fundamental credit analysis using both quantitative and qualitative factors
  • Managerial experience a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Access, Word, Visio, AI powered tools, etc.)
  • Visual Basic experience is a plus
  • Energetic, proactive, and responsive team player with an interest in learning, take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to express and communicate concisely and clearly with various levels of management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships
  • Strong organizational skills with ability and willingness to work under pressure and manage time and priorities effectively
  • BA/BSc in Economics, Finance or Accounting or higher degree in Business (MBA), or any other related subject
