Job Description:

Hang Seng Bank’s Private Banking provides services for high-net-worth customers, offering professional wealth management advice, tailored investment solutions, and bespoke banking services. The Credit Advisor (Manager) role focuses on credit structuring, portfolio management, underwriting wealth lending, and fostering client relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibility:

Identifying, structuring, negotiating and performing credit analysis on new credit opportunities
Managing existing portfolios, developing appropriate recommendations for credit approval, ensuring compliance with documented covenants, regulatory and financial reporting requirements
Underwriting and executing the wealth lending, performing high quality analysis, due diligence and credit presentations
Maintaining a thorough understanding of the content and aggregate risks within an assigned portfolio, trends and other Key Risk Indicators
Conducting credit presentations and reports to management and/or regulators of the credit portfolio
Reviewing credit limits and monitoring collateral while balancing risk return of the portfolio
Keep abreast on market development and competitor move
Coach and develop team members and their talents.

Requirements:

University degree in a related discipline OR other relevant qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ banking experience with knowledge in lending or other credit related functions within private banking
Sound knowledge of collateral lending and structured credit transactions for private banking clients
Client facing and management skills will be advantageous
Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective deliverables
Passes in the HKSI licensing examinations OR professional qualifications such as CFA, CFP or CFMP is preferred
Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
