We are looking for a dynamic, creative and passionate Creative Strategist based in our New York office, to join our exciting and expanding team and supercharge our output. The strategy team sits at the heart of our business, working in partnership with sales, creative, content and client services teams to raise the value of Footballco’s content output and deliver creatively brilliant, and effective, campaigns for our partners and drive meaningful engagement with our audience. As part of the strategy team, you will support sales teams to identify and win commercial opportunities, collaborate with the content and creative teams to create branded content packages and create Footballco brand IP concepts to build audiences. We’re looking for a Creative Strategist who has a firm grasp on what true insights are, how to find them and the change they can create. Someone who can find gold in data sets, look for signals from social platforms, commission meaningful audience research and use all of this to help create best-in-class branded content campaigns.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely and collaboratively with key internal stakeholders including sales, client management, creative and editorial teams
Clarify briefs and commercial challenges
Support local and global sales teams on proposals and guide them to help improve the overall quality of our commercial proposal output
Play a key role in developing our go-to-market positioning and strategy
Identify relevant insights, and package them in relevant ways
Be able to identify, validate and communicate a strategic solution to a commercial, brand or audience brief
Clearly brief, inspire and feedback to creative and editorial teams
Evaluate concepts and creative work against the original strategy
Craft content strategies that get the best out of social and digital platforms, delivering measurable results
Use your ability to clearly communicate, collaborate and persuade to drive projects through to successful conclusions
Mentor, support and line manage future junior members of the strategy team
Requirements:
Extensive experience working in a media, sports marketing, agency or brand strategy role
Experience in developing strategic & creative media campaign proposals that deliver on marketing goals either at an agency, client or media owner
Strong understanding of digital and social platforms and the changing landscape of sports content consumption
The ability to combine creativity with consideration of performance metrics
The ability to create and deliver compelling presentations
Understanding and experience of the sports, media or entertainment industries
Understanding the needs of brands, media, rights-holders and talent
The ability to collaborate with commercial and account management teams and comprehensive understanding of how to deliver content-driven campaigns
