We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Creative Project Manager with a strong background in Graphic Design to join our team onsite in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between creative vision and execution, managing the end-to-end workflow for both print and digital design projects. This role requires exceptional communication, a team-player attitude, and proven experience managing external vendors.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent creative projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation schedules
Manage the creative workflow from concept and briefing through to final file preparation, production, and archiving
Utilize project management software to track project status and communicate updates to stakeholders
Leverage a foundational background in Graphic Design to understand creative requirements, production specifications (for both print and digital), and provide informed feedback to designers
Oversee the preparation of final assets, ensuring technical specifications are met for various outputs (e.g., press-ready PDFs, web-optimized images, social media assets)
Act as a technical resource for the design team, troubleshooting issues related to file formats, color profiles, and print production
Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with external vendors, including printers, mailing houses, and specialized production partners
Obtain quotes, negotiate timelines, and ensure vendors adhere to quality standards and delivery schedules
Review and approve proofs (both digital and physical) to confirm accuracy before final production
Serve as the primary point of contact between the creative team, internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Product), and external partners
Facilitate effective kickoff meetings, status updates, and critique sessions
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, championing the team-player mentality
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in creative project management, traffic management, or a similar role
Proven experience working directly with designers and managing a creative team's daily workflow
Demonstrated experience managing print production (e.g., collateral, packaging, direct mail) and digital design projects (e.g., website assets, email templates, banner ads)
Mandatory experience managing and communicating with external print and production vendors
Strong understanding of the Graphic Design process, principles, and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
Deep knowledge of print production processes, terminology, file preparation, color management (CMYK vs. RGB), and proofing
Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems and web design standards
Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira, Workfront)
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
Nice to have:
PMP or similar project management certification is a plus
