Are you looking for an exciting challenge? If you’re a people person and love art and the outdoors, this could be the perfect role for you. Kew’s Creative Programmes are looking to recruit a team of outgoing and friendly Hosts who will help our visitors engage with the new programmes at Kew. Working within the Visitor Operations Team, you will be responsible for welcoming visitors to the artistic Installations that have been specially commissioned for the programmes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Welcome visitors to artistic Installations
  • Help visitors understand the best way to interact with Installations
  • Undertake queue management
  • Provide guidance on the best way to experience Installations
  • Encourage visitors to interact with Installations
  • Handle visitor queries about Installations or the Gardens
  • Confidently and respectfully inform visitors on appropriate engagement
  • Monitor visitor behaviour to ensure safety of visitors and Installations
  • Travel between different installations across the gardens

Requirements:

  • Outgoing, friendly manner
  • Experience working in a customer facing role, ideally at a visitor attraction
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to be self motivated and confident
  • Ability to ride a bicycle (useful)
  • Ability to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for long periods

  • Shoot Support: Provide reliable on-site operational support during photo and video shoots for brand content, partners, and ambassadors. This includes being responsible for prop ordering and inventory
  • Team Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact and link between the marketing team and the kitchen/operational teams, ensuring clear, consistent communication regarding new product launches or campaigns
