Citi’s US in-house creative agency is looking for a Print + Digital Creative Director to lead and elevate its vision for lower funnel marketing. This role is responsible for shaping the brand’s visual and storytelling direction, driving high impact campaigns and ensuring creative excellence across all touchpoints.
Job Responsibility:
Define and champion the overarching creative strategy, ensuring alignment with brand values and goals
guide development of all creative work across lower funnel marketing – maintaining consistency, quality and innovation
inspire, manage and mentor a multidisciplinary creative team, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration
partner with colleagues across other creative disciplines, strategy and marketing teams to align design strategies with business objectives
evolve and protect the brand’s identity, ensuring cohesion across all channels
proactively identify and present creative and business challenges to leadership
understand the business objectives and intended audience of each creative deliverable and seek to improve engagement at every touchpoint
appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Requirements:
10+ years of leadership experience, including a design background
agency experience (in-house agency experience is a plus)
mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Figma friendly, including experience with components, auto layout, libraries, and collaborative design workflows
familiar with Creative AI tools
experience working with design systems and component libraries
experience with ADA accessibility standards, particularly for email design
strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly and effectively give feedback
strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
able to balance speed with precision and adapt to evolving priorities
a comprehensive online portfolio showcasing your strongest work, including examples relevant to email and direct mail
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred in marketing or related field.
