As a Creative Director, Partnerships, you will lead the creative vision and execution for OpenAI's external collaborations. You will shape how OpenAI shows up through partnerships — transforming emerging AI capabilities into compelling creative work alongside partners across culture, media, entertainment, and technology. This role sits at the intersection of brand, storytelling, and strategic collaboration. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop ideas that are culturally relevant, creatively ambitious, and aligned with OpenAI's mission and brand principles. We're looking for a creative leader who is conceptually strong, culturally fluent, and energized by collaboration — someone who can guide creative partnerships from early concept through execution while maintaining a high bar for craft, storytelling, and brand integrity. This role is based in London, UK. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week.
Job Responsibility
Lead creative direction for OpenAI's Growth partnerships across campaigns, content, experiences, events, and collaborations
Collaborate closely with external partners and internal functions such as partnerships, marketing, communications and product, to shape partnership concepts from early ideation through launch
Ensure creative work across partnerships maintains a high standard of craft, storytelling, and brand alignment
Guide partners, agencies, creators, and production teams in bringing collaborative ideas to life
Identify opportunities where partnerships can express OpenAI's mission in compelling and culturally relevant ways
Partner with the Creative Studio to align partnership work with global brand systems, creative frameworks, and standards
Interpret briefs and strategic objectives, distilling them into clear creative direction and innovative ideas
Act as a trusted creative partner to internal stakeholders and external collaborators, balancing creative ambition with responsible storytelling
Requirements
Have a strong portfolio demonstrating creative leadership across campaigns, partnerships, or large-scale collaborations
Have 10+ years agency or in-house experience working on brands with strong, consistent and clearly defined meaning for consumers across international markets
Bring experience developing creative work with global brands, companies, or organizations across industries
Are energized by collaboration and comfortable navigating complex creative relationships across internal teams and external partners
Have strong conceptual instincts and the ability to translate complex or emerging technologies into clear, compelling ideas
Maintain a high bar for craft, storytelling, and creative integrity across formats and mediums
Are comfortable leading projects from early concept through production and launch
Enjoy working in fast-moving environments where creativity, experimentation, and responsibility go hand in hand
