We're looking for a Creative Director of Design who leads with taste and thinks in systems. Design is how you see the world: through composition, hierarchy, and intention. But more than that: you understand that design is narrative. Every visual system tells a story about who a brand is and why it matters and you can articulate that story clearly enough that an audience understands what they're looking at and why it works. This role sits at the intersection of brand, media, and strategy. You'll work directly alongside our Director of Strategy, Director of Advertising, and Creative Director of Media Production: disciplines that need to speak the same language to produce work that actually performs. Every visual decision communicates something, and the best work makes that communication feel inevitable.
Job Responsibility:
Set and grow the creative standard for all design and creative work produced at RedTag
Lead concepting and creative development across brand, campaign, and performance channels: from strategy-informed brief to final execution
Serve as creative partner in client-facing engagements, including brand discovery, workshop facilitation, and strategic presentations
Stay current with design culture, emerging tools, and where the craft is going, and bring that back to the team
Lead, mentor, and develop RedTag's design team, building a culture of craft, accountability, and creative ambition
Raise the design literacy of the people around you
Identify and develop emerging creative talent: including formal growth planning for high-potential team members
Participate in weekly L10 leadership meetings, contributing creative scorecards, flagging risks, and driving Rocks to completion
Build documentation and standards so the bar holds regardless of who's in the room
Collaborate with the COO and PM leadership to improve the brief-to-execution workflow
Establish QA standards for creative output: distinguishing between subjective creative feedback and objective quality criteria
Work within Monday.com as the operational source of truth, maintaining visibility into creative workload, status, and delivery
Develop and maintain brand identities for clients, including logos, color palettes, typography, and overall visual aesthetics
Continuously explore and propose new ideas and concepts that enhance clients' brand presence and engagement
Create and oversee the production of high-quality graphic design content, including print and digital materials
Lead the design and development of innovative, user-friendly experiences that enhance user engagement
Requirements:
8+ years of creative & design experience across brand, advertising, and marketing
At least 3 years in a senior creative leadership role: preferably in an agency or similarly demanding environment
Demonstrated experience leading integrated creative from concept through execution, across digital, social, print, OOH, and video
Track record of developing creative talent and building team culture
Portfolio that demonstrates range, restraint, and a consistent point of view
Deep fluency in brand identity, visual systems, campaign concepting, and creative strategy
Strong command of design tools (Adobe CC, Figma, Affinity)
Comfortable operating in a modern, AI-augmented creative environment
Clear communicator who can articulate creative decisions to internal teams and clients alike
Comfortable operating inside an EOS environment
Genuine fluency with AI creative tools
Nice to have:
You believe feedback is how work gets better, and you've built environments where people actually give it
You own your work and the work of your team
You're energized by the fast-changing industry, not threatened by it
You build trust across departments and hold the creative line when it matters
If you've ever redesigned a workflow, rebuilt a creative process, or fixed something
You're curious about where the tools are going, AI especially, and you've already figured out how to use them to your advantage
