Job Description:

We are hiring a Creative Brand, Community & Growth Lead as our first in-house marketing hire. This role blends brand, narrative, community presence, and growth into a single creative and high-impact function. You will define how we tell our story. You will shape who we are, why we exist, and why our work matters. You will drive the creative direction for launches, events, and public presence, help build our community of customers, partners, and supporters, and experiment with the growth channels that amplify our message. You will act as a cross-functional creative partner to the founders, product leaders, and sales teams, turning ideas into campaigns, experiences, and narratives that attract attention and build trust. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and brings both taste and operational discipline. You will shape brand identity, orchestrate product and company launches, lead event strategy, maintain an authentic social presence, collaborate on PR initiatives, and prototype new ways for Tutor to engage with the world. The ideal candidate is a creative operator with experience in fast-growing startups, someone who can generate bold ideas and also execute them. Backgrounds in brand, growth, experiential marketing, community building, or product marketing are all welcome. Experience with emerging technology, AI, robotics, or complex B2B products is a strong plus. If you want to help define the public face of a company building real-world intelligent robots, we would love to meet you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and own Tutor’s core narrative, visual identity, messaging, and overall creative direction
  • Plan and execute company and product launches across events, PR, digital channels, and community touchpoints
  • Create and lead high-impact brand initiatives that elevate Tutor’s presence in the industry
  • Build and grow community engagement across customers, partners, and supporters
  • Experiment with growth channels and lightweight campaigns that drive awareness and qualified interest
  • Partner with leadership to connect brand, community, and growth efforts with company goals
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales to shape stories, demos, and go-to-market moments
  • Hire and manage agencies or contractors for creative production, events, paid media, and PR when needed
  • Maintain a consistent and authentic public presence through social, content, and external communications

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of experience in marketing, brand, creative production, community building, or related roles in fast-paced startups
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute compelling narratives, campaigns, events, or product launches
  • Strong visual and creative instincts with the ability to direct aesthetic and storytelling choices
  • Comfortable working across brand, community, and growth functions with a hands-on approach
  • Experience collaborating directly with founders, product teams, and sales leaders
  • Strong writing and communication skills across formats such as web, social, press, and long-form content
  • Track record of producing high-quality work with limited resources and shifting priorities
  • Experience managing agencies, contractors, and creative vendors
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-velocity environments and take projects from concept to execution

Nice to have:

Familiarity with emerging technology, AI, robotics, or complex B2B products

What we offer:
  • generous equity
  • fully covered health + dental
  • unlimited PTO
