Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Craft CMS Developer to join a digital team and help deliver high-quality, content-rich websites for higher education institutions. Please note this is a part-time contract role offering 2 days per week on an ongoing basis. You’ll work closely with designers, project managers, and content teams to build, maintain, and support Craft CMS websites that are robust, accessible, and easy to manage. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on thoughtful, design-led projects and is comfortable taking ownership of builds and ongoing support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain websites using Craft CMS, following best practices and modern development standards
  • Develop custom Craft CMS templates, fields, and components
  • Collaborate with designers to implement responsive, accessible front-end solutions
  • Work with PHP, Twig, JavaScript, and Bootstrap to deliver high-quality user experiences
  • Set up, configure, and support hosting environments, including: Craft CMS Hosting
  • Cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS
  • Manage deployments, updates, and ongoing site maintenance
  • Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and hosting-related problems
  • Contribute to technical planning and provide input on implementation approaches
  • Ensure projects meet accessibility, security, and performance standards (e.g. WCAG awareness)

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience working with Craft CMS (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of: PHP
  • Twig
  • JavaScript
  • Bootstrap (or similar CSS frameworks)
