The Role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be the backbone of the classroom, working in partnership with dedicated teachers to foster an inclusive, engaging, and thriving learning environment. Whether you are leading a small group or providing vital one-on-one support, your presence will be key to student success.
Job Responsibility
Collaborative Teaching: Partner with class teachers to deliver vibrant and effective lessons
Targeted Support: Provide 1:1 or small group interventions for pupils requiring additional guidance
SEN Provision: Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring tailored care and inclusion
Classroom Dynamics: Maintain a positive learning atmosphere through proactive behaviour management
Resource Management: Organise and prepare essential teaching materials and classroom displays
School Community: Support school events, activities, and parent-teacher meetings
Requirements
Previous experience working with children (ideally in a primary school setting)
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
A positive 'can-do' attitude and the flexibility to meet classroom needs
Relevant childcare or education qualifications are a plus but not essential
A rock-solid commitment to child welfare
An Enhanced DBS check is mandatory for this role
