Cover Supervisor – Day-to-Day Supply, Starting Immediately These flexible roles are ideal for people who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school environments. You’ll work across multiple schools in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas of Acle and Lowestoft, providing day‑to‑day classroom supervision and support, with the possibility of longer‑term or permanent placements. Access to your own car is helpful but not essential. Duties as Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and any issues Support the wider school community as needed Ideal Cover Supervisor: Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt to different subjects and school environments Reliable, punctual, and committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service Stand Out with Step Teachers At Step Teachers, we’re proud to be the only education recruitment agency in Norfolk offering Step On training, part of the County’s respected Norfolk Steps behaviour management programme to all teachers and support staff who register with us.
