Our secondary schools across Bebington (CH63, CH62, and CH42) are seeking dynamic Cover Supervisors to guide, support, and motivate their students. Job Responsibility

  • Supervise secondary school classes (Ages 11-16) in the absence of the classroom teacher
  • Deliver pre-set work and lesson plans left by the subject teacher
  • Maintain a focused, safe, and positive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour efficiently using the school's behaviour policy
  • Assist students with their queries and keep them on-task
  • Collect completed work at the end of the lesson and return it to the department
  • Report back on any student achievements or behavioural issues using school systems

Requirements

  • Experience working with groups of children (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Coaching, tutoring, etc..) in either mainstream environments or SEN (Special Educational Needs) settings
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
  • Strong presence and confidence to manage groups of students
  • Clear, assertive, and professional communication skills
