Job Description:

We are working with a secondary school in Hastings who are seeking a strong Cover Supervisor to join their team on either a part-time or full-time basis. This role would suit someone who is highly experienced in cover supervision or a qualified teacher looking for a flexible role, with excellent behaviour management skills and confidence leading a classroom.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils to stay on task and engaged in their learning
  • Working across a range of year groups and subjects

Requirements:

  • A highly experienced Cover Supervisor
  • Hold QTS or a relevant teaching/education qualification
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Confident, calm, and able to take control of a classroom
  • Previous secondary school experience preferred
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
