Job Description

Secondary Cover Supervisor | Classroom Lead | Local Secondary Schools. Are you a confident, resilient individual capable of commanding a classroom? Join our secondary school network as a Cover Supervisor and take a lead role in supporting student progress across all subject areas.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing the Room: Use high-level behaviour management techniques to ensure a focused, safe, and respectful environment for students aged 11-16
  • Facilitating the Curriculum: Distribute pre-planned work, explain tasks clearly, and provide guidance to students to ensure they meet the lesson objectives
  • Problem Solving: Think on your feet to handle technical issues, manage classroom dynamics, and support students with diverse learning needs
  • Feedback & Reporting: Provide clear, professional handovers for the returning teacher, highlighting pupil achievements and any behaviour incidents

  • Relevant Experience (secondary schools, youth coaching, military backgrounds, or university tutoring)
