Job Description:

Due to rising demand across the city, we are looking for confident and proactive individuals to join our secondary education teams as Cover Supervisors in and across Liverpool. As a Cover Supervisor in Liverpool, you will play a vital role in ensuring that student learning continues seamlessly when a regular teacher is absent. It is an ideal role for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with strong leadership skills who wants a flexible and rewarding role in education.

Job Responsibility:

Leading classroom sessions and supervising students while they complete pre-set work
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring all students follow school rules
Handing out resources, textbooks, and worksheets needed for the lesson
Answering general questions from students to help them stay focused on their tasks
Collecting completed work at the end of the lesson to return to the regular teacher
Leaving detailed feedback for the teacher regarding student progress and behaviour
Ensuring the classroom is left tidy and students are dismissed safely on time

Requirements:

Strong confidence and a professional presence when leading a group of young people
Excellent communication skills to give clear instructions to the whole class
The ability to stay calm and fair when managing challenging student behaviour
Flexibility to work in different subject areas and adapt to various school environments
Good time-management skills to ensure the school day runs smoothly
