Your Responsibilities Classroom Management: Oversee secondary classes (KS3 & KS4), ensuring a safe and productive learning environment by following pre-set lesson plans. Behaviour Leadership: Consistently apply the school's behaviour policy, managing the room with a firm but fair approach to keep students on task. Student Guidance: Support students with their work, answering questions and clarifying learning objectives to ensure continuity in their education. Versatile Delivery: Be prepared to cover a wide range of subjects, from core lessons like English and Maths to practical subjects like PE or Drama. Reporting: Take accurate registers and provide detailed handover notes for the returning teacher, highlighting student progress and any notable incidents. What You'll Bring to the Team Confidence & Presence: The ability to command a room of 30 students and project a professional, approachable image. Adaptability: A resilient "can-do" attitude and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced school environment. Communication: Strong verbal skills to deliver instructions clearly and build immediate rapport with both students and staff. Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working with children or young people-such as coaching, tutoring, or youth work-is highly beneficial.
