As a Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor, you are the ultimate problem-solver of the education world. We are looking for adaptable, energetic individuals to support secondary schools across Sheffield on a flexible basis. This role is perfect for those who thrive on variety; you will move between different departments, delivering engaging content and ensuring that no student's learning is interrupted by staff absence. Job Responsibility:

Instructional Delivery: Lead lessons across various subjects, ensuring students stay on task and meet their learning objectives
Classroom Culture: Maintain a focused and respectful atmosphere using the school's specific behaviour management tools
Student Support: Actively circulate the room to provide 1-on-1 assistance and clarify instructions
Administrative Accuracy: Complete registers promptly and ensure all student work is collected and organised
Collaborative Feedback: Leave detailed handover notes for the returning teacher to ensure continuity in learning
Professional Integrity: Adhere to all safeguarding and "Keeping Children Safe in Education" (KCSiE) guidelines

Requirements:

Prior experience working with groups of children (aged 11-16)
The mental strength to handle challenging behaviour with a calm demeanour
Right to work in the UK
An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one)
