Job Responsibility:
Manage the classroom environment and supervise pupils during pre-set work
Deliver and introduce learning activities provided by the absent teacher across various subjects
Implement the school's behaviour policy consistently and professionally to maintain a positive working atmosphere
Ensure all students remain on task and focused on the learning objective
Respond to student queries and provide support to keep learning flowing
Collect completed work and resources at the end of the lesson and return them to the appropriate department
Report any serious issues or concerns regarding behaviour or safeguarding immediately to a senior member of staff
Maintain accurate registers and records of student attendance
Supervise pupils on external activities or trips where required
Promote the inclusion of all students, fostering a diverse and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting (e.g., youth work, coaching, tutoring)
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
